© Class Trend Ltd. We obviously blew all our trumps at Hoddesdon an Saturday as nothing went our way tonight. Both Ricky and Ben threw points away needlessly by falling when not even under pressure in heat 1. Perhaps Ricky's was mechanically induced but the outcome was the same, null pointe! Cooperman had struggled to get his bike started on the parade lap and was observed changing his carburetor prior to heat 2, but he needn't have bothered as my Auntie Florrie could have put up a better show. Benji followed the gating tart around for four laps and most of the home crowd breathed a sigh of relief as he crossed the line still mounted on his bike. Kyle and Emiliano restored a feeling of normality as they gated to dominate heat 3. André attempted to reinstate that feeling with an untroubled win heat 4, but alas his kid brother was equally consistent when he threw away a point by falling on the first bend of the last lap for no obvious reason. Herr Flick and Trent Leverington trapped to lead heat 5 with Emiliano seemingly content to follow them home. Kyle was obviously hungrier, but even he capitulated after a scary moment on the fourth turn. Potters lead by 7 points.

Mark Lemon battled his way around Ben Wilson on the first lap to win heat 6, and André finished heat 7 half a lap ahead of the Potters. Alas Cooperman didn't even finish. Ben Wilson had to follow Trent Leverington home in heat 8, but things were looking up as Benji passed Shane Waldron at the end of the second lap. Kyle moved out wide exiting turn two and passed Mark Lemon to win heat 9. Ricky switched back to pass Moggo on the back straight to win heat 10, and with Ben getting the better of Paul Clews on the second lap the Potters lead is reduced to just three points.

It can't have been a great surprise to see Cooperman trailing the field in heat 11, or for André to win it. Emiliano got his finger out and rounded the gating tart to  claim heat 12, but Benji screwed up AGAIN(!) on the third lap while trailing the field. If he hadn't fallen he would have been sure to finish ahead of Barrie who had to push home with a flat tyre for the odd (would this be important later?) point. Herr Flick trapped to lead heat 13 and Ricky followed him menacingly without ever making a challenge but at the same time taking exactly the piece of track that André was lusting after just behind him. Three point down with two races to go, so no pressure! Moggo rides straight across Kyle's line as they exit the second bend, but Kyle gains his revenge two laps later as he finds grip on the inside exiting turn two. Cooperman seems to have sorted his electrical problems and scores his first point to leave us one point behind and needing a heat advantage in the last race to decide the match. Kyle is the surprising choice to partner the Skipper for the Tigers, against the Potters top dogs of Herr Flick and Lemmo. André makes a belter of a start but our young Canadian is last. Suddenly Kyle becomes the home supporters favorite rider as he passes the German at the end of the first lap to put us in a winning position. The second lap finishes with us still in a winning position, but with lots of the home supporters becoming anxious as there is every possibility that Kyle is going to try for even greater glory! Sure enough it all goes square shaped at the end of lap 3 as Kyle clips the fence exiting the last turn and only finishes falling on the first turn. When is he going to learn that speedway is a team sport?
