The start was delayed until a downpour passed which it did by the predicted 8pm. There was the occasional shower for the first
half dozen races but the only faller was Todd on the first bend of heat 1. James led heat 2 but only as far as the third
turn where the experienced Theo Pijper. Lasse rounded the field with an outside blast around the first two turns to win heat 3, but James
seemed reluctant to go wide and couldn't get between Theo and the white line. Ty Proctor traps to win heat 4. Jack replaces James and
this time it's Theo who cannot mount a pass. Charles joins Lasse in heat 5 and they scamper well clear of Ben Barker. The Tigers
take the lead for the first time tonight.
Kyle powered past Ty on the back straight of heat 6 but Todd is reluctant to leave the white line and cannot pass Nathan. Charles
and Jack gate ahead of the Andersen brothers to win heat 7 with Jonas retiring at the end of the first lap. Todd and James gate ahead
in heat 8 and the Bears seem content to race each other for third. Ben Barker is a tactical substitute in heat 9 but Lasse traps
ahead and is never troubled. Kyle's machine expires on the first lap of heat 10 leaving the Andersen brothers ahead. Todd passes Mikkel
in a typical Owlerton maneouvre on the third bend but the Dane bales out and Michael discludes poor Todd. Sheffield lead by 5 points.
