King's Lynn carried on from where they left off last season as they built up a useful lead
in this Yorkshire Cup challenge. The partnership of Kevin Doolan and Troy Batchelor
looked as potent as ever as they reeled off a couple of maximum heat wins and were only
denied a third when Troy's machine failed on the last bend in heat 9.
Ben Wilson took a purler in heat 1, Chris Mills tested the fence in heat 11 and Kyle
Legault fell leading in heat 14 with close following Benji Compton unable to avoid him.
Thankfully they all escaped with just bumps and bruises. An 18 point lead should
make the return leg an interesting prospect...
