The Wolves are the only team to have beaten the Tigers at Owlerton back in the League Cup in May. In the first Premiership clash
back in June Sam Masters had a rare off night but the Wolves went into the last heat 2 points ahead. Nick Morris was excluded for a tape
offence and Jack and Adam saved the day! Everyone expected a close match but with four heat advantages in the first six heats the Tigers
gave themselves a good cussion. Indeed eight heat winners from heats 4 to 11 opened a fourteen point lead which even Luke Becker couldn't
reverse.
Lewis Kerr was the popular winner of heat 8 ahead of rider replacement Nick Morris, and got an even better reception winning the next heat
from Sam Masters. Tobiasz finished his first match as our No.1 with two wins and a 13+2 score, and Jack dropped his only point to Sam in
heat 13.
A trip to the National Speedway Centre on Monday will be a big test especially after the 26 point defeat there back in July. On that occasion
there were only two Tigers heat winners; Connor beat Norick Blödorn and Max Fricke in heat 4, and Jack won heat 13 from Max and
Matej Zagar...
