Sam Masters on gate 3 rolls at the start and handicaps himself allowing Justin Sedgmen to make a lovely getaway, only for Graham Flint to warn Justin for Sam's misdemeanour! Justin traps last in the restart but Troy Batchelor off gate 4 is first into turn 1. Sam turns hard and takes the lead down the back straight. James Wright twitches at the wrong moment and is last away in heat 2 allowing Broc Nicol a flyer. Josh Bates takes second place from Tom Bacon exiting turn 2 and James passes Tom on the inside of turn 4 at the end of the third lap. James is back out as replacement for Kyle Howarth in heat 3 but it is Adam Ellis who dominates around the outside despite clouting the back straight safety fence on the second lap. Josh Bates locks back hard behind Sam on the first bend of heat 4 but gets it all wrong and falls right in front of Tom Bacon who takes a purler. Jack Holder can only watch as Sam rides a perfect line to win the rerun. Nick Morris leads heat 5 but Troy takes Ryan Douglas very wide on the first turn and Justin jumps into the gap. Troy lets his team mate pass and keeps Ryan at bay to share the heat. Wolves lead by four points.

Jack just makes it into turn 1 to lead heat 6 and comes under intense pressure from Sam on the inside and Luke on the outside, but holds on for the win. Justin takes Kyle's place in heat 7 and traps alongside Adam at the front. Adam keeps his head down and the inside line while Justin looks a little precarious out wide. Ryan nips through on the inside at the end of the first lap but cannot catch Adam, while Justin does enough to contain Broc for the Tigers first heat advantage. Tom Bacon breaks the tapes and James sheds his chain at the start of heat 8. Broc Nicol takes his place and the Yanks make no mistake with a 5-1 in the restart. Adam takes a tactical ride in heat 9. Ryan traps but Jack hold off Nick into turn 3 and Adam joins his partner on the second lap, but disaster strikes as he locks up at the start of the third lap and falls with Nick clipping him and joining him on the deck. Race awarded. Luke and Sam trap ahead in heat 10 but Adam passes Sam on the inside out of the 4th turn at the end of lap 1 and just holds the Wolves No.1 off. With the Tigers down to 5 men the Wolves now lead by 10 points.

Troy traps to win heat 11 but Justin briefly passes Nick for third place but cannot make it stick. Adam makes a lovely start from gate 4 and powers around the outside into the lead but has too much speed exiting turn 2, lifts and takes an horrific looking spill as he destroys the fence. Luckily he was able to walk back to the pits. Nick traps to win the restart but James is never troubled by Tom. Troy traps from gate 1 to win heat 13 but Sam and Luke put him under pressure and Jack cannot find a way past. Adam traps to lead heat 14 but goes very wide on the fourth turn and Ryan steams past. With all the match points in the bag Pete Adams nominates Sam and Luke for heat 15 while Simon goes with Troy and Jack. Jack makes amends for heat 13 with an electric start from gate 4 to join his partner while Troy makes it a hat-trick of wins with a glorious 5-1.

A mere 3 points from rider replacement for Kyle would certainly have affected the result, and coupled with Adam's two falls the Tigers could have been in with a chance of more than even a consolation point.
