The Tigers got off to a dream start in their opening home match back in the top flight. Justin headed the field from gate 2 and Troy Batchelor from the outside gate joined him exiting turn 2
after which the pair were never troubled. James Wright made a superb start from gate 1 in heat 2 while partner Josh Bates desperate attempts to round Broc Nicol nearly cost him
third place. Nick Morris led from the inside gate in heat 3 with Kyle on his tail but Adam Ellis from the outside gate took the long way around the first two turns and left them
all in his wake down the back straight. Jack Holder made no mistake from the outside gate and won by a big margin, but Josh was working hard to get on terms with Tom Bacon
but only succeeded in going further behind before retiring. Luke Becker and Sam Masters off the outside gate took a flyer in heat 5 and Kyle was unable to catch them.
