My man of the match Lewis The track looked in good nick apart from the soggy looking 1st bend, but that was just from water accumulated on the air-fence which ran across the track when the fence was inflated and which appeared to have no effect on racing. Wolves won the toss and choose gate 4 which fast starting Sam Masters used to great effect wining heat 1. Justin traps to win heat 2 by yards and Connor rounds Kemp out of the second band to record our first 5-1. (Where was Britain's great white hope?) Three abreast down the back straight in heat 3 but Adam holds the white line as Kyle passes Ryan Douglas on the outside into turn 3 and takes the lead at the start of lap 2. Connor traps from the inside to lead heat 4 from Nick Morris. Leon is third with Tobiasz struggling for power at the back. Tobiasz slowly closes in before passing Leon into turn 3 on the last lap. Steve Worrall leads the way in heat 5 but Sam is on the graveyard gate 3 and never recovers. Tigers lead by 10 on the night and 14 on aggregate.

Jack leads heat 6 and Lewis passes Drew Kemp on the inside exiting turn 2 for the Tigers third maximum heat win. Tobiasz takes the lead in heat 7 exiting the second turn passing Luke Becker on the inside. Ryan Douglas evens the heat rounding Justin on the third turn. Lewis is warned to be still at the start of heat 8. Leon traps ahead in the restart but Lewis powers around him out of turn 2. Steve goes for a wide blast but ends up in the air-fence on the apex of bends 3 & 4. After a 10 minute delay while the air-fence is repaired. Leon traps again but Connor makes a lovely pass on the inside of the pits turn to take the lead while Lewis leaves it late but an outside blast around the pits turn sees him steal second place on the finish line. Nick Morris destroys the tapes in heat 9 and Leon takes his place on the inside gate. Leon traps but Adam blasts around him to lead down the back straight and Kyle goes high and wide around the pits turn and up to second. Ryan traps from the inside gate to lead heat 10 but Lewis passes him on the inside exiting turn 2 and Jack follows suit down the back straight. Tigers 26 ahead on the night and 30 on aggregate and even five 0-5's won't be enough to overhaul the Tigers. Belle Vue here we come!

With our place in the final assured you would expect the Tigers to relax and ride conservatively, but Tobiasz makes a good gate from the inside and rides high and wide to win by a country mile. Justin is pushing Sam for third place when Sam picks up drive on the pits turn at the end of the second lap. Justin grabs third place and Sam retires, possibly still feeling the after effects of that broken collar bone three weeks ago. Adam dominates heat 12 but the previously unbeaten Connor Mountain suffers from gate three and the Wolves keep him from passing. Sam has run last in his last two races but is off gate 1 in heat 13. Tobiasz and Jack are right on his exhaust and Tobiasz bounces off the back straight fence and then almost runs into the back of Sam out of turn four. Jack the takes up the chase but just can't get past with his inside charge. Justin traps and is never bothered winning heat 14 while Kyle (gate 3) has to work hard passing Leon but following Ryan home. Simon nominates Jack and Kyle while Peter chooses Sam and Ryan for heat 15. Tigers take gates 1 and poor Kyle gets gate 3 (why, we had choice?) Jack makes a corker of a start from Ryan and Kyle. Kyle goes high looking to take second place but gets into trouble and Sam moves into third, only for Kyle to fight back around the first bend. So much for taking it easy!

The Tigers biggest win of the season with an all round team performance. Lowest scorer Justin still recorded 2 heat wins and the Tigers claimed 9 bonus points between them. Our six matches against Belle Vue this season aggregate to Tigers 278, Aces 262 but it looks as if it should be a close run final.
