Sheffield will take a four point lead into the second leg of their Play Off semi-final after their away win at Monmore Green. Jack and Lewis
were well beaten by Steve Worrall and Sam Masters in heat 1, but Justin and Connor pulled 2 points back in the reserves heat. Adam looked well
in control winning heat 3 but Kyle suffered mechanical problems. Substitute Justin stalled at the start of heat 4 and struggled to restart his bike
given the absence of track staff. Nick Morris won from Tobiasz and although Justin soon made up the 15m handicap he couldn't pass Leon. Lewis and Ryan
Douglas disputed the lead in heat 5 until Lewis dived under him at the start of lap 2 with Jack following through for a glorious 1-5 levelling
the scores at 15 all.
The Wolves opening pair repeated their success from heat 1 with Tobiasz getting out of shape and falling in heat 6. Nick won heat 7 from Kyle with Adam
taking 3rd when Drew executed a 360 spin. Lewis won heat 8 from previously unbeaten Steve Worrall and Connor held off Leon Flint to narrow the deficit.
Tobiasz won heat 9 with Ryan Douglas falling on the first lap. Adam trapped and won heat 10 from Sam Masters with Kyle holding off Steve Worrall to put
the Tigers ahead for the first time.
Jack becomes the first rider to beat Nick Morris in heat 11 with Lewis just losing second place on the run to the flag. Drew Kemp takes another fall.
Luke Becker leads heat 12 but sheds a chain entering turn 3 and Adam bales out to avoid him. Adam and Justin take a maximum heat win against Leon and
open an 8 point lead with 3 just heats outstanding. Sam Masters got unexpected grip on the first bend in heat 13 causing mayhem and when they got their
acts together down the back straight it was Nick Morris leading from the Tigers pair. Sam Masters tried every line imaginable but Jack hugged the
white line and Sam got nowhere before spitting the dummy and retiring straight to the pits at the start of the last lap. Drew Kemp and Ryan Douglas led
heat 14 but Kyle closed on the second lap and Ryan tasted dirt again on the fourth bend, before crossing the centre green and traveling the wrong way
down the back straight to the pits while the race was still in progress. Sam and Nick were the Wolves nominations while Simon rewarded Lewis and top scorer
Adam. Lewis trapped ahead but again hit trouble on the first bend and the Wolves pair take a maximum win.
Team boss Simon was well pleased to be taking an aggregate lead into Thursdays second leg. Eight race wins across 5 team members at an away fixture
is always good and everyone in the team made a good contribution to the win.
