The Tigers faced an uphill task following an 18 point defecit from the first leg.
After a promising start they haemoraghed points with Nathan falling in heat 2 when
Tom Bacon had been handicapped, and then picked up his own handicap by missing the
start of heat 4. The Tigers battled valiantly and were level on the night (but eighteen
down on aggregate) by heat 11, but then the cart wheel came off. Nathan tumbled off at the start of
heat 12, and then Kyle experienced engine trouble in the rerun. Rohan and Josh G
picked up another 5-1 in heat 13. Arthur took his second heat win in the penultimate
heat but Josh trailed home last, and the Rebels booked their final place when Josh G
and Rohan repeated their heat 13 supremacy in the last.
The league playoffs look like a mountain to climb and alarm bells should be starting
to make some team members very uncomfortable...
