Simon went around Thomas Jorgensen on the first bend and sped to a comfortable win. Facundo passed Josh Auty on the inside of the second bend but Josh grabbed the place back on the very next corner. Jake trapped in heat 2 and was never troubled. Ryan Douglas looked very impressive on his Owlerton debut but Josh Bates fell on the third lap gifting Damien a point. Ashley Birks rounded Joe on the third turn to take third place just as Richard was powering past Michael Palm Toft on the pits bend to take the  lead in heat 3. Ricky passed both Scorpions on the back straight to lead heat 4 but Ryan pressed him all the way before over cooking it on the very last bend. Thomas destroyed the tapes in heat 5 meaning another ride for the impressive Ryan. Richard leads the rerun but Josh Auty is pushing hard until he takes a tumble on the second lap. Joe and Richard are set for a comfy 5-1 in the rerun until Richard's bike expires on the second lap. Tigers 5 points ahead and looking good.

Simon trapped to lead heat 6 and Facundo passed David Howe on the second turn and never looked like being caught. Josh Bates took a spectacular tumble on the last lap but was able to walk away. Heat 7 finished as it started. Jake led heat 8 until Thomas passed him at the start of the second lap. It looked like Jake was taken by surprise, got a wobble on and dropped it. Facundo passed Thomas on the second turn of the restart and then left him standing earning him a standing ovation from the Tigers faithful. Richard was the easy winner of heat 9 but Joe had his work cut out keeping David behind him. Ashley was on a tactical in heat 10. Simon took another big win while Facundo and Ashley had a couple of excellent laps as they traded places on each turn before Facundo managed to ease clear. Only his second meeting and already the crowds favourite! Tigers lead by 17.

Thomas was on a tactical in heat 11 and he and Josh led from the tapes. Ricky didn't seem interested and was nearly passed by Damien. The 8-1 put the Scorpions back in with a chance of the bonus point. Joe led heat 12 but was caught and passed by Michael Palm Toft on the last lap. Simon and Ricky trapped and were untroubled in heat 13 to restore a 12 point lead, and Richard and Damien stretched it to 14 with another win in heat 14. It was just as well. The Scorpions trapped ahead in heat 15. Simon passed Thomas on the back straight but was going so fast that he ran into Ashley on the apex of the 3rd/4th turns and fell trying to avoid him.

Lots of happy faces on the terraces and (even more important) in the pits. Only Damien didn't win a race for the Tigers and all he needs is to make some better starts. Facundo (or Frank according to Simon's column in the local paper) is already a firm favourite with the crowd. Berwick must be kicking themselves!
