Brilliant home debut... Danny off gate 4 rounded Stefan Nielsen out of turn two on the first lap. Stefan goes way too wide on the fourth turn and is passed by both Zaine and Josh Auty. Josh Bailey swoops around Drew to take the lead on the fourth turn of heat 2 but Ryan Kinsley is unable to catch Broc. Ty touches the tapes and takes a 15m handicap in heat 3. Jason Garrity wins from Kasper and Ty cannot pass Jedd List. Drew passes Jake Allen with a lovely inside move as they start the second lap of heat 4. Jake and Kyle then have a propper race which ends with Jake too wide and into the fence on the pits turn on lap 3. Kasper loops it at the tapes in heat 5 and falls heavily. Ty anticipates the restart and the ref kicks him straight out. Drew sits waiting on the dog track until 'one minute remaining' and then his bike stalls at the tapes. He comes out on Kasper's bike to start from a 15m handicap, but rapidly closes in on and, would you believe it, passes Stefan on the inside of the fourth turn, third lap! Tigers lead by four points.

Jake Allen makes a belting start to heat 6 and never looked like being caught. Kyle leads the way in heat 7 with Jedd List retiring from last place. Zaine lifts at the start in heat 8 but chases down and passes Josh Bailey for third place. Drew chases Stefan who holds off a last bend challenge for the lead. Ty eventually gets the start right in heat 9 and holds Jordan off to win while Kasper passes Ryan at the end of he first lap to share the heat. Danny impressive winner in heat 10 and Zaine a comfortable second until he goes way too wide on the second bend of the last lap. He manages to recompose himself and just holds off a late challenge from Jason. Tigers lead by twelve.

Stefan and Josh Auty trap ahead in heat 11 and Kyle's outside heroics are in vain. Jake is brought in the replace Ryan in heat 12 as Dave Peet eyes the potential match point. Drew does well to hold off Jason. Danny leads heat 13 but both Jake and JoshA line him up on the third bend with Jake swooping into the lead but Danny defending second place. Drew replaces Broc in heat 14. Ty traps ahead and Drew is a comfortable second to restore the Tigers lead to eight points. The Scorpions need a heat advantage from the last race to steal a match point but Danny outpaces the visitors to send them away pointless.

A paid 10 score from Zaine is a fine reward for some excellent racing, but paid 14 for 16 year old Drew including two points from a 15m handicap bodes well for the season.
