2012 Programme  Aaron Summers sped into the lead and that was that. Heat 2 was from the gate also. Heat 3 was from the gate with Ricky Wells falling as he tried to pass Justin Sedgmen out wide on the third turn. Heat 4 was from the gate. Heat 5 was from the gate and the Tigers lead for the first time by a slender 2 points.

Heat 6 was from the gate. Heat 7 was from the gate. Heat 8 was from the gate. Heat 9 saw Richard Hall falling wide on the third turn but clambering quickly back on to chase Mark Jones (nursing a sick bike) and making the pass off the last turn. Heat 10 saw Pepe Franc going around Justin Sedgmen to level the scores.

Heats 11, 12 and 13 were all from the gate. Heat 14 saw Joe Haines close the door on Max Dilger exiting turn two, only to be passed by Justin Sedgmen on the third turn. Richard Hall came from last to pass Dilger on the second lap and Haines on the third but that's how it finished. Hall and Skidmore trap in heat 15 and it looks like maximum points for the Tigers until Hugh unaccountably locks up into turn 1 on the third lap and falls immediately in front of the hard charging Ulrich Ostergaard who cannot avoid him. A horrible looking accident and Hugh leaves the track in the ambulance with leg injuries while Ulrich walks slowly back nursing his arm.

Both riders visited the Northern General where it transpired Ulrich has a broken shoulder blade, and Hugh has muscle damage to his left leg but no fracture.
