Sheffield programme Andre made the slightest of twitches under the green light and Chris Gay stopped the race. A similar almost imperceptible twitch in the restart and Andre is excluded! Simon outpaces Lasse at he third time of asking and with reserve Josh right on Lasse's exhaust the Tigers take an early lead. Rafal falls foul of the "thou shalt not move" despot and it's Arthur who leads in the rerun. Josh gets to second but is threatened by Rafal who makes an outside pass on the second turn of the last lap. Josh tries to dive under him into turn three but the super slick track hasn't enough grip and the two tumble messily into the air fence. Josh is excluded, as is Ben as he had already retired. Once the fence had been fixed Matej sped into the lead of heat 3, but then seemed to stop on the first bend where he was collected by hard chasing Ty. The ref was stopping the race anyway because Hugh had blinked under the green light. Ashley and Ty looked at ease in the rerun, just the opposite for Matej who retired from last place. With Josh withdrawing under doctors orders it looked like being a busy night for young Arthur. Lasse won from David who was getting closer lap by lap and Arthur held on from Ben for another heat win. Heat 5 delayed because Lasse had two consecutive heats, and he won heat 5 in fine style with the Tigers filling the minor placing for a seven point lead.

The 2 minute exclusion sounds as Rafal leaves the pits so there is another delay while Ben gets ready to take his place. Simon leads the rerun but the visiting pair both pass Andre who then falls on the third bend. Heat 7 is delayed as Hugh has two consecutive races. Arthur falls (trying too hard?) on the second turn and is excluded. Hugh and Matej lead the rerun until Matej stops on the third lap. Heat 8 delayed for Arthur's second consecutive Heat (yawn). Andre leads but is passed by Jan on the third turn. Ashley and Ty are so far ahead in heat 9 that when Ashley's bike slows on the last lap he is able to coast home ahead of Matej. Heat 10 is delayed for Matej's second consecutive (yawn) who stopped while last on the second lap. Simon wins from Hugh but Andre in third is disqualified after the race for having a defective silencer. Two-thirds point of the meeting and the Tigers have extended their lead to nine points.

Lasse and Jan gate ahead in heat 11 and there is nothing David can do to get past despite trying every possible line. Guess what? Another delay for Arthur in back-to-back races in heat 12. Matej traps and first Arthur and then Ashley look for a way past, and then Rafal expired on the last lap. Simon leads heat 13 but leaves too big a gap to the fence and Lasse passes him on the third lap. Somehow Simon squeezes back as David relegates Jan on the last lap to restore the seven point lead. Hugh hits the front in heat 14 but Ty and Arthur are not troubled by young Ben. The Bears needed a heat win to steal a match point but it wasn't to be as Simon sped to a full maximum.

Track was super slick after sludge had been bladed off earlier in the day. A stock car meeting the previous weekend followed by heavy rain was cited.
