A lot of confusion surrounds the starts in the first two races. Rumour is that the riders don't understand the new
starting procedure, but it later transpires that one of the two green lights (up in the roof of the stand) isn't
working. First real pass of the meeting is when Drew rounds Jack Smith out of turn two on the second lap of heat 4.
Kasper traps ahead in heat 5 and Ty passes Tom Bacon at the start of the second lap. Michael Palm Toft also passes
Tom but it's a 5-1 to the Tigers who lead by 10 points.
Danny traps ahead in heat 6 but Zaine off gate 4 rounds Nathan Greaves into 3rd on the second bend, and then nips
under Charles Wright on the inside of the second bend on the second lap to the delight of the home fans. Jordan off
gate 4 goes far too wide and is collected by the fence in heat 7. Drew and Zaine are untroubled in heat 8. Charles
rounds Ty to lead heat 9 and Ben Barker barges past Kasper into the 3rd bend as the Bears claw back 2 points.
Danny wins heat 10 but Zaine keeps us entertained as he dives under Jordan Stewart into the first turn on the last lap
to claim the odd point. Tigers twenty(!) points ahead.
MPT traps to lead heat 11 but Broc makes it a shared heat by passing Tom Bacon on the inside of the third bend.
Kasper leads heat 12 but Nathan passes on the inside of the third bend. Drew picks off Ben Barker on the last bend
of the first lap and then his team mate, but can't catch the leader. Kyle passes Charles on the second turn of
heat 13 and then we have three abreast action until first Kyle, and then Danny both pass MPT. Nathan replaces
Jack Smith in heat 14 and gates with his team mate Jordan Stewart for the visitors second heat advantage of the
match. Danny and Kyle are nominated alongside Ben and Charles for heat 15. Charles takes a tumble at the first attempt
but it's 'all four back'. Kyle leads the restart from Ben but Danny gets out of shape on the second turn and
Charles does well to avoid him just as his own machine splutters to a halt. Most people expected the Tigers to
win, but not by a twenty two point margin!
