Tony Olsson was returning to the saddle following an arm injury and the Tigers
were tracking NL guest Alan Mogridge in place of Mike Long. The New Zealander
had been given a six match run but hadn't scored a single point, pretty much
the same as his replacement.Jan Andersson's place went to guest Jan O.Pedersen and the first three heats were all shared before the Tigers inched ahead thanks to Neil Collins and Peter Carr.
The Racers counteracted with wins from Per Jonsson and Malc Holloway before Jan O and Tony Olsson's 5-1 put them 8 points ahead. Shawn came into heat 10 as a tactical substitute and followed his big brother home for their own 5-1.
Mitch Shirra and Tony Olsson's 4-2 in heat 12 put them six points ahead with three heats remaining. Shawn and Kelly took another 5-1 ahead of Per and Jan O in heat 13. Peter Carr won heat 14 from Malc Holloway and Ian Stead's third place left the scores tied into the last heat.
Mitch and guest Jan O were Bill Dore's selections while it was no surprise that Eric Boocock nominated the Morans. Kelly did the business again and Shawn followed him home to seal a fabulous away victory.
