Shawn brilliantly took the Golden Helmet from Kenny Carter, equalling and then
beating Peter Collins
5 week old track record in the process. He then scored an untroubled maximum as he led the Tigers to a crushing victory over Reg Fearman's Poole Pirates. Vaclav Verner and John Davis were the visitors only race winners while the Tigers reserves, Wayne Brown and Phil White both scored paid maximums!
