Programme cover Hans Andersen trapped to win heat 1. Kyle is on his tail but cannot get past while Ulrich retires at the start of the third lap. Chris Harris and Jordan Palin dominated heat 2 and James eventually passed guest Kyle Bickley on the last lap. Adam made a determined start and rounded the field around the first bends. Josh tried his best but Scott Nicholls and Michael Palm Toft know their way around Owlerton only too well. Guest Nick Morris performed more first bend heroics at the start of heat 4 but Bjarne Pedersen was not going to be beat. Adam made another blistering start to win heat 5 from Ulrich and Hans with Josh climbing all over him. It looked like Josh was going to pass on the outside of the third bend on the third lap but Hans knew exactly where to place himself and Josh will have learned a new lesson. Panthers 6 ahead and looking strong.

Lots of movement at the gate in heat 6 with Bjarne destroying the tapes. Kyle Howarth was adjudged the guilty party and earned himself a 15m handicap. Chris was left at the gate in the restart but Bjarne was never challenged by Troy. Simon made a tactical change bringing Adam into heat 7. He and guest Nick took the home sides first heat advantage with MPT eventually passing Scott on the third lap. James and the skipper trapped in heat 8 but Chris Harris blasted around James out of turn 2 on the second lap. Kyle rode well to deny Chris and James was never troubled by Hans. Josh from the inside and Adam trapped in heat 9 and Josh showed he had learned his lesson from heat 5 by resisting all Bjarne's attempts for the Tigers third consecutive heat advantage and the lead for the first time on the night. Chris Harris made a blistering start from gate 4 to win heat 10 from hard pushing Kyle Howarth. Scott in third place had no such hassle from Troy. Tigers lead but by the narrowest margin.

Ulrich and Chris win heat 11 from guest Nick. Bang goes the Tigers lead. Chris takes his third consecutive ride in heat 12 and even Adam has to concede defeat. Michael passes Kyle B on the inside of the pits turn at the end of the first lap. Ulrich won heat 13 from Nick and Bjarne. Troy passed Bjarne on the inside of the pits turn at the end of lap 2 but Bjarne went back around him out of turn three. Troy passed Bjarne again this time on the outside of the pits turn and this time he made it stick. It was Chris' third outing in 4 races when winning heat 14 with Josh visibly annoyed when unable to get the better of another ex-British Champion. Adam and Kyle were Simon's nominations with Rob choosing Ulrich and Bjarne as Chris had already taken 7 rides. The skipper was left trailing off gate 4 after everyone went wide and this time it was Ulrich who showed Adam a clean pair of heels.

They may be a "Dad's Army" but when it comes to choosing which ex British Champion and Grand Prix rider you want at reserve while your own reserves pick up just 2 points between them, then what do you expect. We started the season with three strong heat leaders to spearhead the team, but we're now struggling with just one. Kyle is riding his socks off and JoshP has got bags of potential but if JoshB's star is waning then we need to replace him with someone who has got potential. If Troy is deliberately dropping his average to get a Championship club then he should be careful because at this rate no-one will want him.
