Top scorer Skipper chooses the inside gates again!! The Tigers gate ahead but Steady waits for Ben Wilson to take the lead out of turn 2 and Ulrich sneaks through as well. Ben rides a good line and shuts the door on Ulrich a couple of times which also baulks Steady's line. The Panthers lead away in heat 2 but Taylor Poole off gate 4 gets around Joe Jacobs out of turn 2. The track is fast tonight so passing is going to be at a premium. Andre Compton leads from Ben in heat 3 but Ben goes a little too wide on the fourth turn allowing Ulrich through to second place but Ales Dryml is well off the pace. Lasse Bjerre made a fantastic start to heat 4 so it was called back. Taylor and Sam Masters got the better of him second time around although Lasse swooped past Sam out of turn 2. Is Nicki the same rider who dominated heat 2 as he was stone dead last and seemingly disinterested? Ales is rider replacement for The Fish and traps ahead in heat 5. Andre gets a good run out of turn 2 which takes him past Lewis Blackbird into second place. Tigers hold a slender 2 point lead.

Steady traps to win heat 6 from Lasse and Taylor with Joe retiring straight to the pits. Ulrich leads heat 7 from Sam with Tom Perry riding out of his skin ahead of Ales Dryml. Ales is obviously wary of the outside line so Tom just defends the white line until the last lap when Ales tries a wide line. Tom moves out wide as well and Ales just gives up! The Panthers lead the way in heat 8 but Andre uses his momentum off turn 2 to pass Nicki on the back straight and Taylor follows suite on the pits turn. Andre goes wider and wider chasing Lewis until he sheds a chain on the last lap. Andre and Ben lead heat 9 until Lasses powers around Ben on the third turn. Simon tries to lean on Ales  into the first bend of heat 10 but slides off and into the air fence. Second time, mounted on Andre's bike, he negotiates his way through the smallest of gaps to pass both Ales and Ulrich. Sam pootles around at the back and the Tigers lead by just four points.

Sam leads heat 11 until Lasse pulls alongside on the second lap. Sam tries to hold his line but Lasse gives him the elbow on turn 3 and Sam hits the fence on turn 4. Tom Perry is easy prey for the Panthers in the rerun. Ben leads heat 12 from Ales with Taylor in hot pursuit. Ben does just enough to contain Ales until he goes for the outside burn on turn one on the last lap. Ben takes a slightly wider line and Ales spits his dummy and pulls out of the race squandering 2 vital points. Steady wins heat 13 from the tapes. Sam retires from last place on the first lap. Ulrich speeds to a comfortable win in heat 14 with Taylor and Andre never troubled by Nicki to set up a last heat decider. Lasse takes another flyer in heat 15 but is almost on the white line by the first turn and is called back. He does it again in the rerun but Dave Dowling turns a blind eye. Steady winds it all on around the outside and squeezes between Ulrich and the fence down the back straight and holds on to the match winning two points.

Two wins for Ben as he gets back on the pace, and Taylor Poole is the top scorer. The raffle winner went for Steady as man-of-the-match but the feeling from the terraces indicated Taylor. Ex-PLRC winner Sam Masters was very disappointing. I bet he gets a lot more when Edinburgh are in town.
