Impressive Chris Harris won heat 1 in a fast time. Fast starting newcomer Patryk Wojdylo did the same in heat 2. Adam was very sluggish from gate 2 at the start of heat 3 and he never recovered. Dan Gilkes took a flyer to lead heat 4 and Tai passed Niels Kristian Iversen to join his team mate at the front. He looked to be taking the inside line alongside Dan when his engine failed. Dan rode a great line to claim one of his best scalps. Adam trapped from his favourite gate 2 only to be passed by Bomber into turn three. Tigers trail by 2 points

Kyle traps to lead heat 6. Tobiasz passes Niels and demonstrates that he can team ride too! Lewis powers from gate 4 in heat 7 and rounds Ben Basso on the back straight. Ben then winds it on high and wide and even Tai has no chance of passing. Kyle does the same to lead heat 8 and wins from Vadim. Niels wins heat 9 from Josh. Tobiasz powers from gate 4 to lead heat 10 from Ben Cook but Ben Basso is a comfortable third until picking up a puncture allowing Kyle through on the last bend. Tigers now lead by 8 points.

Tai gets his starting head on in heat 11 and takes the first point off Bomber. Adam traps(!) to win heat 12 and Dan rides tactically to deny Patryk third place. The big guns are out in heat 13 but Bomber looks rocket assisted from Gate 1 and rides high and wide to win. He's out again as a tactical substitute in heat 14 and joins Ben Cook in the Panthers first 5-1. Rob nominates the same pair for heat 15 but this time it's Tai who traps and Chris who cannot catch him. A six point lead might be a hard bonus to defend, but Monday's match at Alwalton is from the first match which we won by 14 points.

Analysis of starting gate positions: Gate 1 - 29(+1)pts 7 wins. Gate 2 - 18(+4)pts 0 wins. Gate 3 - 13(+1)pts 2 wins. Gate 4 - 30(+4)pts 6 wins.
