After a last heat 5-1 to snatch victory over Wolverhampton the previous week, and crashing out of the KO Cup thanks to a 53-43 reversal at Hackney, the Cheetahs had quite an easy time disposing of the Tigers. Bengt Larsson was our leading scorer and could have levelled the scores in heat 10 had he not fallen. Alan Jay impressed with a double figure return and was only beaten by Roy Trigg from the home side. The Tigers were carrying both Arnold Haley who failed to finish his first two rides, and Billy Bales who only finished last, and their only remaining resort was John Dews at reserve who failed to open his account.
