This closely contested match ended in dramatic style. The Wasps made the most of a Ricky Ashworth fall in heat 14, and when Ben Wilson's silencer disintegrated in the rerun they claimed a 5-0 to lead by just one point. With just three points required to win and the unbeaten Craig Watson nominated the Wasp's fans were confident, but first Mads Korneliussen nudged the tapes to earn himself a 15m handicap, and then Craig delayed the restart claiming the starting marshall was obscuring his view. The referee paid no heed to Craig's histrionic protestations and excluded him, allowing the Tigers pair an easy win for our solitary away victory this season.
