The "Rangers" were new comers to the Provincial League and this was destined to be
their last visit to Owlerton before they closed at the end of the season.
Only Jimmy Squibb and Stan Stevens proved competitive and Eddie Reeves third place
in heat 8 was the only instance of the rest of their team beating a Sheffield rider.
