2008 Programme  For the first time in weeks the elements didn't interfere with track preparation. The Diamonds pairing take an early lead in heat 1 but Ben Powell coasts to a standstill at the end of the first lap allowing the Tigers to share the heat. Sam Martin's bike is coughing and spluttering in heat 2 but he managed to follow Paul Cooper for a couple of laps before he was picked off by Jamie Robertson. The Diamonds are the first to show in heat 3 but André powers under Ben Powell out of turn two and then reels in Christian Henry whom he passes at the end of the third lap. Ben Wilson traps to lead heat 4 but Paul passes both Sean Stoddart and Jason King to move up to second place. He then survives a slight hiatus on the second turn of the last lap and loses some momentum, then defends the inside on turn three which allows Jason to cut back and dive up the inside out of the last turn. Good race though! André traps to lead heat 5 but Lee comes to a virtual standstill on the third turn as Jamie slams the door in his face. Tigers lead by four.

Jason makes a cracking start to lead heat 6 and never looked like being caught while Joel passes Sean on the outside of turn three to share the heat. Ben Wilson trapped to lead heat 7 from Christian with Ben Powell a comfortable third ahead of Sam. Ben closes in on his Aussie team mate with some hairy fence scraping lines and he goes too far on the last lap and takes a tumble into the fence. After a problem with the tapes it is Paul who leads away in heat 8 with Joel holding off a challenge from Josef Franc for second place. Joel also survives a second bend moment which almost allowed Josef to sneak past on the third lap but recovers to post the Tigers first 5-1 of the evening. André swoops high and wide around the first two turns and squeezes between Jason and the fence on the third turn to take the winning lead in heat 9 with Lee doing enough to hold off Jamie for third place. Joel and Ricky speed into the lead of heat 10 with Ricky diving past his team mate at the start of lap two to claim his first race win of the evening. Tigers now a comfortable sixteen points ahead.

Josef Franc donned the black & white for heat 11 and was the early leader. Ben Wilson was passed by Jason on the second turn but regained the position on the next turn and set off after Josef. Couldn't see properly from my vantage point (third bend) but I suspect Josef also made a slip on the second turn which allowed Ben through on the inside to take the lead and rescue two points. André leads from the start of heat 12 and he is joined at the front by Paul who passes Christian high and wide around turn two and then out-drags Jamie into turn three. Ricky win from the tapes in heat 13 with Josef just holding off a last bend attempt from Ben Wilson. Lee Smethills finally makes a good start and wins heat 14 from Ben Powell while Sam picks up a point by passing Jamie on the second lap. André and Ricky are Eric's nominations while George English selects Josef and Jason. André and Ricky make blistering starts and the race is over with the Tigers finishing twenty six points ahead in the final analysis.
