Newcastle had lost both of their home matches prior to this meeting and it's safe to say that there were some
riders fearful for their team places. Sheffield managed just 6 race wins and three heat advantages all evening,
and after trailing by just 2 points after 9 races contrived to lose by 14 despite a 5-1 in heat 11.
Drew struggled on his promotion to the body of the team and Kasper never settled on the notorious bRough Park
lottery. It must have been exactly what the home riders required as it only required grading once during the meeting.
Broc picked up an impressive 7 from his first three rides but Zaine's only point came after Danny Ayres fell
in heat 4. We'll see how the Diamonds fare when they visit a proper race track later this Summer.
