A close fought match until both Roper and Featherby trailed home last in heats 5 & 6 giving the home side a 6 point lead.
Consecutive maximum heat wins in the next two heats reversed the situation but Featherby was last again in heat 9 and Boocock
beat Jay to leve1 the scores. The Tigers then dominated proceedings with only Eric able to beat them when the league points were
already decided by heat 13.
Ron Bagley won the second half final from John Dews, Jack Kitchen and fastest second Eric Boocock.
