The Tigers took the lead in heat 2 when Clive Hitch was excluded for bringing
down Guy Allott and then John Fitzpatrick fell in the rerun gifting the Tigers
a 5-0 and a lead they grimly clung onto despite only providing the first man
home in four of the thirteen heats!
