Heat 7 hero..

Nilsson passes Morris on the back straight to win heat 1, and Sargeant goes around Graversen to win heat 2. Palm Toft is warned for moving at the start, but goes ahead to win the rerun of heat 3. Bjerre wins heat 4 but Sargeant is passed by King on the first lap. Riss is warned for moving at the start of heat 5 but it's Morris who traps in the restart. Lions 4 ahead on the night and by 30 on aggregate.

Palm Toft revels in the dusty conditions to round the field and lead heat 6 out of turn 2. Woods goes high and wide out of turn two to lead heat 7 and stymies all King's moves to become the hero of the hour. Wood tries to repeat the start in heat 8 but Palm Toft holds on to win. Bjerre and Graversen trap in heat 9 and even Riss cannot get past. Palm Toft leads heat 10 but Nilsson takes him at the start of the second lap and Proctor follows him and puts him under pressure for the last two laps. Lions now 6 ahead and 32 on aggregate.

King leads heat 11 from Morris and Heeps passes Kurtz on the first lap. King unexpectedly falls on the last lap gifting the win to Morris. Riss and Heeps win heat 12 from the tapes. Morris wins heat 13 from Nilsson and Bjerre with King retiring at the back. Riss wins heat 14 but Kurtz excels himself passing Heeps into second on the third lap. Palm Toft (gate 4) rounds the field to win heat 15 with Morris and Bjerre holding Nilsson back to share the heat. The Tigers, with an effective guest for Grajczonek, did far better in the away fixture than they did at Owlerton.
