Of all the meetings to miss! Leicester caught us napping on their first visit with Adam and Tobiasz both having 'mares and after losing heavily
at Belle Vue three days previoudly the Tigers were 'up for it'. Tobi and Josh both dropped just one point each but it was Tai Woffinden's
home debut which swelled the terraces. He won first time out from Jason Edwards and Richard Lawson and then featured in a splendid scrap with
Richie Worrall in heat 7 with the lead changing hands 5 times in 3 laps before he claimed his second win. This was followed by the ride of
the night as he shepherded Lewis home for a 5-1 while thwarting every attempted pass by fellow GP star Max Fricke. Sadly both
Dan Gilkes and Drew Kemp were absent on SON2 duty and poor Ace Pijper had a night to forget.
Analysis of home riders starting gate positions:
Gate 1 - 15(+4)pts 2 wins. Gate 2 - 12(+2)pts 2 wins. Gate 3 - 8(+1)pts 3 wins. Gate 4 - 13pts 4 wins.
