Josh won a race on his home debut... The match gets under way with occasional spots of rain in the air but the track looks good with plenty of material on it. Danny rounds the field from gate 4 but Drew almost stops on turn 2 allowing Ellis through into 3rd place. Zaine traps ahead in heat 2 and Josh MacDonald on his home debut rounds Jack Thomas out of turn 2 but can't quite catch Connor Mountain. Ryan Douglas (here last week, 13) and Cameron Heeps (here the previous match, 11 from 4 rides) trap ahead in heat 3. Ty Proctor gives chase but falls on the 2nd bend on the third lap. Josh MacDonald traps like a demon to lead heat 4 and Kyle rounds Richie Worrall out of the second turn. Kyle immediately drops in behind his new team mate and spends two laps fending off challenges from Richie until Josh's pace is good enough to open a useful lead. Very well received by the home supporters. Ty Proctor traps to lead heat 5 and Broc Nicol nearly rounds Ellis out of turn two, but still does enough to keep Scott Nichols behind. Tigers lead by four points.

Danny traps ahead in heat 6 and Drew nearly joined him but is never worried by Jack Thomas to extend the Tigers lead. Kyle leads the way in heat 7 but Ryan gets the outside run and draws alongside down the back straight. Kyle dominates turn three and pulls clear in the lead. The Lions pair make the gate in heat 8 with Josh pulling up with machine problems by the second bend. Drew looks down on power. Richie leads heat 9 but Ty goes high and wide on the first lap and takes the lead exiting turn four. Broc is a comfortable third, even more so when Jack fell on the first turn on the third lap. Ryan leads the way in heat 10 and not even Danny can find a way past. Drew completes another disappointing meeting and the Tigers lead stands at two points.

Scott leads heat 11 from hard chasing Kyle and with Ellis making it another Lions heat win ahead of Zaine the scores are level. Ty rides a good line to deny Cameron in heat 12 and Josh is not troubled by Jack to put the Tigers back into a slender lead. The big guns are out in heat 13 and Danny makes no mistake from the inside gate. Kyle is fourth but climbing all over Scott and he muscled past into the third turn, but them kept it tight on the inside allowing Scott to retake third place exiting the pits turn. Richie then allows his team mate alongside and they team rode Kyle out on the last lap. Ryan and Connor lead the way in heat 14 and it looks as if the Lions will go ahead, but then Zaine gets a good line to pass Connor on the inside of turn two on the third lap, and then wide riding Broc raises the roof with a thrilling outside move on the very last turn to preserve the Tigers slender lead into the last heat. Scott and Ryan are Stewart Dickson's obvious choices, but Simon goes for Kyle to partner Danny which surprised many given Ty Proctors return to form. Danny traps and doesn't put a wheel out of place to give the Tigers their third consecutive last heat home win.

Nice home debut from Josh (pictured) who got wiped out by Nathan Stoneman on the first turn in his first ride at Birmingham last week. He looked really good on his way to winning heat four this evening so fingers crossed! Danny and Drew took to the track after the meeting on each others bikes. Drew looked much more comfortable but Danny took just one lap before pulling off with his head shaking. If we could get Drew back up to speed we might be in with a chance of taming the Rebels come the end of the month.
