Josh ahead of Thomas Jorgensen and Connor Mountain, heat 5. Kyle won the toss and chose heat 15. Lewis then chose 1&3. Troy off gate 4 made a terrible start in heat 1 and trailed home last. It's a good job Kyle was at the races. James was beaten from the gate by Connor Mountain and young Dan Thompson made no impression on ex-Tiger Ricky Wells. Adam Ellis limped from gate 4 in heat 3 Chris Harris and Lewis Kerr took a 5-1 with Josh on their heels in his Tigers debut. Danny King and Dan were well beaten by Richard Lawson and Ricky Wells and looked like going 10 ahead until Ricky's bike expired on the last bend!. Adam made a much better start to heat 5 and Josh rode a lovely line to keep Thommy Jorgensen and Connor at bay (see photo left). The Stars lead by 2 points.

Following a track grading session Troy trapped and won heat 6. Kyle however became the latest victim of gate 4. Chris Harris trapped from gate 2 to win heat 7 from Danny and young Dan passed inside Lewis exiting the second bend. Richard suffered gate 4 in heat 8 but Ricky took the lead from James and Richard rounded Kyle out of the second turn. Kyle got his head down and repassed Richard on the inside of the pits turn on the second lap and did the same when James picked up unexpected drive on the very last bend. Heat 9 was a classic. Richard trapped from gate 2 but Adam was on his case. He switched back and took the lead on the inside of the pits turn on the second lap. Josh is obviously a quick learner and he repeated the same maneuver on the next lap to the delight on the home fans. Lewis trapped ahead from gate 2 in heat 10 with Kyle close behind and Chris suffered heat 4. Kyle dived past Lewis into turn 3 to take the lead, but Chris shared the heat by picking off Troy at the start of lap 3. The Tigers now hold a slender 2 point lead.

Danny won heat 11 but James suffered gate 4 and trailed home last. Adam enjoyed an electric start from gate 2 to win heat 12 from Chris and Ricky. Heat 13 is usually a home banker for the Tigers, but not tonight. Richard and Thomas make flying starts, Danny (as expected) never looked like challenging and Troy didn't want to know. (Perhaps Graham Flints official racecard is correct and it was actually Troy Bathelor after all!). With the visitors back in the lead the pressure in on new signing Josh but he's off gate 4! As expected he struggles, but then to the delight of the home support he blasts high and wide around the whole field and takes the lead down the back straight. It's a last heat decider with the Tigers needing a 5-1 to win the match. Kyle chose gate positions and the inside gates. Adam dominates from gate 3 with Chris second and Kyle third. Kyle tries another inside pass off the pits turn but only completes it into turn 1 on the second lap. Another rapturous reception and that terracing roof took another shaking!

So many key points. Dan Thompson beating Lewis Kerr in heat 7. James beating Richard Lawson in heat 8. Josh Pickering passing Richard Lawson in heat 9 and his last to first blast in heat 14 on his home debut. But heroes of the hour were Adam after finishing last off gate 4 in his first ride but then riding unbeaten, and Kyle passing quality riders in all his last three races when the pressure was on.
