In the third heat André lifted exiting turn 2 and collided with Daniel
Nermark taking a very heavy fall. As he left to go to hospital so did all the
Tigers team spirit. Ben Wilson held second place briefly in heat 4 until Paul
Lee passed him. Ricky and Joel were ahead of Trevor Harding in heat 5, until
Ricky fell on the third turn and Joel couldn't avoid him. Ben led heat 9 but
was passed inside and out exiting turn 2. Chris Mills passed James Cockle on
the first lap of heat 10 and try as he might Birko couldn't get past.
The Stars were fired up for this one and kept themselves very motivated.
I imagine there are going to be quite a few one-sided matches at the Norfolk
Arena this year. The Tigers showed how much they rely on their captain for inspiration
and we now face a testing time without him as he recovers from his injuries.
