Sean took a tapes to flag win in heat 1 while Ben had to work just a little harder to stay ahead of Oliver Allen after pulling ahead on the 3rd turn on the first lap. Kyle made a real hash of the start in heat 2 but soon passed Darren before setting off after Jan Jaros. Once on Jan's back wheel he tried both inside and outside lines but to no avail, until Jan slowed with bike problems on the 3rd tun of the last lap. A very frustrated Kyle had to virtually stop to avoid running into him and aimed a kick at Jan as he eventually went by. Ricky and Kevin Doolan ran neck and neck on the first lap of heat 3 until Ricky eased ahead on the third turn, while Richard Hall recovered from a poor start to wind in Troy Batchelor before passing him around the outside of turn 2 on the third lap. Kyle made a much better start to lead heat 4 but André went by on the back straight and Tomas Topinka powered past as they crossed the finish line at the end of lap one. Ricky trapped to win heat 5 and after another poor start Richard Hall entertained us by chasing and passing Ashley Jones.

Tomas wearing the black & white helmet colour flew from the gate to outpace the Wilsons in heat 6, and André returned the complement ahead of the Aussies in heat 7. Ben took a confident looking win in heat 8 while Kyle had to graft for his point passing Ashley Jones on the second lap and dicing for another before making the move stick. Tomas took another big win in heat 9 while the Wilsons win in heat 10 levelled the aggregate scores.

André won heat 11 but his brother couldn't match the visitors pace and the aggregate lead was established by Ricky and Kyle in heat 12 with Kyle passing Jan Jaros on the second lap. A splendid maximum from Sean and André in heat 13 was needed as Kevin Doolan was nominated for a tactical ride in heat 14, and predictably made a flying start. Kyle chased hard but couldn't get on terms while Richard struggled at the back and trailed in last. With the Tigers leading by just one point it was a last heat decider with the Stars needing a heat advantage. Tomas led down the back straight with Kevin Doolan in third and the visiting supporters couldn't believe their luck, but André powered past Tomas on the third turn, and after building up momentum for a couple of laps Sean rounded Kevin on the second turn on lap 3 to ensure that all three points came to the Tigers.
