Top scorer & heat 15 winner The Tigers are unbeaten against the Stars this year winning 49-41 away and 48-42 home in the 'A' fixtures, and then 51-39 away and 50-40 home in the 'B' fixtures. The Stars include 2 ex-Tigers in Nikolai Klindt and Josh Pickering, while the Tigers track 2 ex-Stars in Connor Mountain and recent signing Lewis Kerr. Thomas Jorgensen trapped from the inside to lead heat 1 from Lewis but Jack passes Richard Lawson at the end of the first lap to share the points. Frederik Jakobsen wins heat 2 but Justin and Connor out paces Jason for another 3 all. Adam wins heat 3 but Richie Worrall and Josh Pickering pick up the minor placings ahead of Kyle. Alex Brady makes an early substitution and Frederik makes the most of the inside gate for his second win ahead of Connor in heat 4. Nikolai rounds Tobiasz on the first turn but Tobiasz regains third place into turn 3. Jack and Lewis break the deadlock ahead of Richie and Josh in heat 5 and the Tigers lead by 4 points.

Justin runs out of room outside Thomas at the start of heat 6 and falls heavily into the fence. Thomas wins the restart from Tobiasz and Richard and the Stars close the deficit. Adam wins heat 7 from the inside gate but Frederik and Nikolai share the heat ahead of Kyle. Lewis shows the Stars what a mistake they made releasing him winning heat 8. Thomas passes Connor out of the last turn but the Tigers take another advantage. Tobiasz wins heat 9 from the inside gate but Richie and Josh share the heat ahead of Justin. Richard and Thomas take the Stars first 5-1 ahead of Kyle with Adam last after two previous wins. That levels the scores with five heats remaining.

Frederik falls at the start of heat 11 but Wayne Jarvis rules all-four-back. Lewis and Jack dominate the restart with Nikolai trailing home last again. Adam gets the drop from gate 4 in heat 12 but Justin chases down Richie Worrall and passes on the last lap for another maximum heat win. The battle of the big guns in heat 13 is won by Tobiasz and Jack ahead of Richard. Kyle and Connor lead the way in heat 14 but both Josh and Frederik fight into the lead in the best race of the night. Tobiasz and Adam face the Stars best pair in heat 15 but another 5-1 sends the traveling supporters home happy and full of hope for the second leg.
