Super guest Justin Sedgmen First televised meeting of the year in front of a healthy crowd. Rain earlier in the day and a sunny afternoon allowed Graham to prepare a great track. The Witches are currently top of the league and are tracking 4 ex Sheffield riders. Jason Doyle sped from gate 4 and the first sub one minute time of the year. Jack tucked in behind guest Justin Sedgmen and they comfortably kept Troy Batchelor at bay. Justin made another great start to lead heat 2 but Connor ran out of track on the outside of Broc Nicol and took a nasty tumble up against the fence. Justin gated again in the restart and Broc nearly fenced his team mate on the back straight. Kyle gates in heat 3 but goes wide on the exit of turn 2 and Paul Starke takes the lead. Danny King is right on Kyle's tail and Tobiasz on his. Kyle spots a gap and dives under Paul into turn 3 on the third lap for another shared heat. Adam shed a chain under the time to tapes rule and he dashes back to swap onto his spare machine. It only gets him as far as the back straight as Erik Riss and Danyon Hume break the deadlock ahead of the battered and bruised Connor Mountain. Kyle is on fire and blasts into the lead with Jason right behind in heat 5. Tobiasz is all over Troy and passes him on the outside as they start the third lap. Jason swoops high and wide aound the last turn and just passes Kyle on the run to the line. Justin is rider replacement in heat 6 and makes another cracking start. Jack follows him home and the 5-1 levels the scores again.

Danny King traps in heat 7 but lifts and careers headlong into the air fence on the second bend. A panel of the fence is punctured and a 45 minute delay ensues as the track staff struggle to repair it. When the referee gives the go-ahead to resume racing Justin's bike stalls on the start line and refuses to start. Connor takes his place but finishes third behind Paul Starke with Adam taking the flag. Mick Bates holds the riders on the green light as Troy is moving at the start of heat 8. Connor is spooked and hits the tapes and has obviously annoyed the referee at some time as he is penalized while Troy is only warned? Rider replacement Kyle wins the rerun and Connor cannot get past Troy after closing the 15 meter handicap. Tobiasz wins heat 9 from Erik with Kyle third and the lead is extended. Erik is out again in heat 10 as injured rider replacement for Danny and he races to a convincing win ahead of Tobiasz and Jack who both passed Paul at the start of the second lap.

Danyon takes Troy's place in heat 11 and while Jason resists pressure from Adam, Justin shares the heat. Danyon is out again in heat 12 replacing Broc and Paul is IRR for Danny. Simon responds giving Connor's place to on-form Justin and he and Tobiasz take a maximum win. The big guns are out in heat 13 and while Jason proves unbeatable, Adam pushes him very hard and Jack shares to preserve the Tigers 8 point lead. Jason is a tactical substitute in heat 14 and passes Kyle on turn 3 a split second before Paul Starke bales out and somersaults along the air fence in spectacular style before leaping to his feet and trying to remove his bike. With the curfew having passed and the Witches unable to change the Tigers lead the match is abandoned with the result standing. Spectacular action, but it will only be remembered for the air fence delay.
