Top scorer The Witches signed Ben Barker to replace out of form Cameron Heeps and Broc Nicol was guesting for the injured Paul Starke. The Tigers were without top man Jack Holder who was injured at the Polish Grand Prix and called on Chris Holder to cover for him. Erik Riss and Jason Doyle got the Witches off to a blinding start with a 5-1 ahead of Craig and Chris. Danyon Hume and Broc Nicol repeated the dose ahead of Connor and Stefan in heat 2 and the Tigers were already trailing by 8 points! Ben Barker led the way in heat 3 from Kyle with Tobiasz unable to find his way past Danny King until Danny ran out of grip on the first turn and Tobiasz quickly lays down to avoid him. Adam becomes the Tigers first race winner in heat 4 but (last years Tigers) Danyon and Troy Batchelor share the heat ahead of Connor. Chris blasted to the front in heat 5. Craig traded second place with Danny on each turn until he lifted slightly out of tun 2 and blocked Danny's outside run. The Tigers first heat advantage trims the Witches lead by half.

Adam traps ahead in heat 6 and Erik passes Stefan into 3rd place wide out of turn two. Jason dives under Adam into the lead on turn three and then blocks Adam's outside run on turn four. That's how they finish so the Witches go back to 6 ahead. Kyle rounds the field from gate 4 to lead down the back straight in heat 7. Broc is under pressure from Tobiasz and tumbles off at the start of lap 2 but clears the track. Troy follows Kyle home and Tobiasz over cooks the last bend but immediately remounts and the lead is trimmed again. Young Danyon nails it into turn 1 of heat 8 but both Connor and Craig pass Erik before he retires at the start of lap two. Adam leads heat 9 by the back straight with Danny second and Stefan rounds Ben into turn three for another away advantage. The Witches pair lead down the back straight but Kyle recovers and trades places with Erik for two laps before pulling clear. Tobiasz tries the outside blast but cannot catch Erik. The home team still lead by four points.

The Tigers gate ahead in heat 11 and Chris looks back and allows Craig into the lead. Troy never looks like catching the Tigers pair and then Broc steals third place from him off the last bend. All even with four races remaining. Tigers two lowest scorers trap in heat 12. The Witches pair both pass Stefan but then Danyon picks up drive and he tumbles off on turn 4. Tobiasz repeats his electric start but Danny gets the better of Stefan as the Tigers ease into the lead for the first time. Adam lifts into turn one of heat 13 but its Chris who takes a tumble. All four back and Chris comes out on his spare machine. Troy Batchelor shows first and the Witches look set for a 5-1. Chris picks off Adam and closes in on Troy who goes wide on the last turn of lap 3. Chris grabs his chance and second place on the first turn and the scores are level once again. Danyon takes Broc's place in heat 14 and Stefan gets a warning for rolling. Kyle and Stefan trap. Kyle pulls clear but Stefan rides a tidy line to deny Danyon any chance of a pass. The Witches need a 5-1 to force a Super Heat decider. Aussies Jason and Troy for the Witches against Adam and Chris for the Tigers. It's a level start but Troy off gate 3 goes   w a y    t o o    w i d e. Jason never looks like being caught but Troy gives Adam a good run and almost steals third place on the finish line.

From eight points down after two races the Tigers worked hard as a team in the pits to get the right set-up, and then great spirit on the track to not only get back into contention, but to win and maintain their unbeaten record! Thanks to super guest Chris Harris.
