'Man of the match' went deservedly to Simon Stead, but to be honest it
couldn't have gone to anyone else. He was the only Tiger not to finish in last
place, indeed Josh and Ben managed it three times each. Tigers won 8 of the
15 heats but the Witches claimed 11 second places and only trailed in last on
3 occasions for a good solid team effort.
Times were consistently fast, but passing was at a premium. Best race was heat 7 when Nico passed Gino Manzares on the first lap, Gino dived back into the lead on the second bend lap 2 only for Nico to power back around him on the pits turn. Nico also featured in good races with Rohan Tungate in heats 13 and 15 which suggested our new signing is a real racer whose bikes are just not fast enough.
