Having lost by 4 in the first leg we only needed to reach 48 to claim the bonus point, but having lost by 12 in the
second Premiership round a matter of days ago following their signing of Emil it looked like a tall order. The
Witches claimed seven heat winners to the Tigers eight but the Tigers ran out 12 point winners, the opposite of
Mondays return.
Jason Doyle and Emil Sayfutdinov between them collected all their heat winners and 27 of their 39 points. The Tigers
on the other hand worked together as a team with their reserve top scoring and every single member of the team claiming
at least one heat win. Let's hope the result helps build their confidence.
I used to admire Jason Doyle, but after watching him plant Tobi into the second bend fence on the first lap of heat 15
and then repeat the same maneuver on Adam two bends later with nothing left to race for I have now changed my mind.
Perhaps he's desperate to emulate his new team mate, but he's lost my respect.
Analysis of starting gate positions:
Gate 1 - 23(+6)pts 3 wins. Gate 2 - 12(+3)pts 0 wins. Gate 3 - 26(+2)pts 5 wins. Gate 4 - 29(+2)pts 7 wins.
