The Tigers had embarrassed the Witches with a 16 point victory in the 'a' fixture
just 12 days previously. Italian Paulo Salvatelli was expected to return at
no.5 but Andy Hines took his place and Neil Evitts also guested for no.1 Kai Niemi.
The Tigers were missing Peter Carr but called up Dean Standing who had scored
paid 13 for them in the 'a' fixture, and welcomed back both of their reserves.
The Witches made another appalling start and were 12 points down after just 5 races.
Chris Shears read the riot act and the Witches dragged themselves back into
contention and they were just two points behind into heat 15. Jeremy Doncaster
and Armando Castagna found the Moran brothers too much to cope with and the Tigers
secured the away win.
