Nigel Crabtree guested for the Tigers in place of Peter Carr, while the Witches were without both Armando Castagna and Jeremy Doncaster, their places taken by Rick Miller and John Davis. Rick spoiled Kelly's maximum, John spoiled Neil's and Shawn was only beaten by Steve Regeling. Kai Niemi's only win came at the expense of Valentino and Sean and the visitors four heat wins came in consecutive races from heat 8.
