Halifax and Sheffield rode as programmed in this re-arranged fixture from 2 weeks previous. Hull tracked
Frank Auffret in place of American Mike Caruso, but Belle Vue had major changes with Peter Collins, Alan
Wilkinson and Les Collins all unavailable and their places going to Kristian Praestbro, Chris Turner and
Rob Maxfield.
Sheffield took the honours with 28 points on the night, but this being a team riding four team tourney I
would have expected bonus points to be taken into consideration and the home teams tally of +5 compared to
Sheffield's +2 would have made them the winners.
