There were two changes to the programmed riders. Frank Auffrett was repaced
by Graham Drury who top scored for the Vikings, and Tigers Mark Fiora was replaced
by Reg Wilson. Reg got the plum choice of starting gate positions in this unbalanced
format with all four of his starts being from the two inside gate positions
and he made full use of it only missing out on a maximum when pipped by Jimmy
Mac in heat 15.
