Nick Morris passed Hugh Skidmore as they entered the third turn in heat 5. Hugh kept up the pressure and it paid off when Nick overdid it on the first turn on the last lap. Hugh was back in the action again in heat 8 when he moved Kyle Howarth out of his way at the end of the second lap. Josh Auty shrugged off Nick Morris' challenge on the first turn and was hot on Josh Grajczonek's back wheel when Josh G locked up on the second turn of the last lap. Josh A bailed out very quickly but his machine careered into the stricken Josh G, luckily without further injury.

Ricky Ashworth led heat 11 until a mistake on the second lap relegated him to third place. Richard Hall rounded Kyle Howarth on the first turn to go third in heat 12. A big cheer from the Tigers fans went to Simon Lambert who rode a sweet line to go around Nick Morris on the last bend of the second lap, only for Richard Hall to then get all fired up and throw his point into the fence. Richard made amends in heat 14 passing Kyle at the end of the first lap to ensure the Tigers a win, and although Ricky was left stranded at the gate in heat 15 Josh rode a glorious line to claim all four league points for the visiting Tigers.
