2012 Programme  Hugh Skidmore made an electric start and Josef Franc denied Joe Screen the outside line on the first turn as the home Tigers claimed a 5-1 in the first heat with Hugh's time the fastest of the season. Joe Haines sped to the front in heat 2 and Klaus Jakobsen's untidy start was still superior to Robert Ksiezak's. Klaus caught Joe down the back straight but Joe was taking no chances and shut the door on him. As the race progressed Klaus looked to get a little ragged and he survived a very wide moment on the last bend to stay ahead of Robert. James Grieves led from the start in heat 3 but was picked off by Richard Hall on the inside of the second turn. Ricky Wells dived through into second place on the inside of the third turn on the second lap but James' kept the power on and reclaimed the place out of the pits turn. Ricky changed tactics going wide into the third turn then switching back and passing James on the inside as they passed the pits and pulled clear on the last lap. Good racing. The home pair trapped and we looked set for a fourth 5-1 until Emiliano passed Klaus on the third turn. after which Klaus seemed to struggle. Another mistake at the end of the third lap saw Josh Grajczonek steal second place and Klaus retired on the last lap as Robert passed him on the inside. Joe Screen was on a tactical in heat 5 but was comprehensively out gated by Richard and Ricky who didn't put a wheel wrong. Sheffield lead by 16 points.

Pepe led heat 6 but Josh denies Hugh the outside line and Hugh never made up the lost ground. James led heat 7 but was passed simultaneously by Emiliano (inside) and Joe Haines (outside) on the second turn. James fought back and dived under Joe on the third turn on the second lap and then swooped around Emiliano to take the lead at the end of the third lap. Hugh made no mistake with a tapes to flag win in heat 8 and Klaus did enough to take a point from Mason Campton (is this the same rider who claimed a maximum at Ashfield?) Richard sped to victory in heat 9 ahead of Josh and Ricky recovered from a shocking start passing Jade Mudgeway on the third turn before suffering mechanical problems on the penultimate lap. The home Tigers gate ahead in heat 10 with Pepe powering around Hugh on the third turn to take the win. James is unusually subdued and loses third place to Robert on the last turn. It later transpires that he was hit on the foot by an object on the track and had to withdraw from the meeting. During the interval the entire track staff did a full track inspection to find out what it could have been but apparently found nothing. Sheffield's lead has extended to 22 points.

Emiliano led heat 11 until the end of the third lap when Joe Screen powered around the outside on the pits turn. Robert replaces James in heat 12 and the Scottish Tigers lead the way. Ricky picks off Jade on the pits turn and Robert on the second turn to take his first win of the season at Owlerton! Joe Screen leads the way in heat 13 but Emiliano is not happy about something and there is a confrontation at the pits gate after the race. Richard speeds away to win heat 14 but Joe Haines has his work cut out before passing Robert at the end of the third lap, by which time Jayden was un-catchable. Joe Screen leads heat 15 but Richard tries to squeeze around him on the pits turn. He loses some ground but battles back into contention and makes another huge effort on the last lap but Joe has his measure.

The score line certainly didn't reflect the standard of the racing tonight.
