I'm not sure what the New Zealanders were doing but The British team took on the Swede's without them and were still victorious, albeit by the smallest margin of the series.
The Swede's started strongly helped by Booey falling in the first heat, and after a see-saw first half led by four points at the interval. By this stage Norman Hunter and Charlie Monk's only points were courtesy of Anders Michanek's engine failure. Frank Varey gambled on replacing this pair by his reserves and home favourite Australian Greg Kentwell rose to the occasion riding unbeaten and recording two maximum heat wins with Martin Ashby as the Brit's turned the tables on the visitors and romped their way to a 16 point winning margin.
