(Taken from Speedway Star Vol.20 No.10)
Poland put up their best performance to date in the series losing 66-42. After the earlier internationals it was gratifying to see Wyglenda in particular produce more of his true form but Britain still possessed too many big guns to be in any real danger.

Barry Briggs, Britain's top scorer, dropped points to Woryna and Wyglenda but had plenty of support from Jim Airey, Ivan Mauger and Nigel Boocock all of whom reached double figures.

Mauger fell in heat 10 - an unusual distinction for him - but won three races in fine style. It was Wyglenda who dashed the maximum hopes of the home squad and, on this occasion at least, he looked the best of the Poles.                     by Vic White

The following night at Glasgow they WON 61-47 before losing narrowly at Belle Vue 57-51 in the last match of the series.
