Shawn Moran was the high profile signing which enthused all Tigers supporters at the start of the season. He might not have been the star attraction we remembered of old, but he was scoring steadily and it was a surprise when he announced his retirement due to his loss of nerve. This was the first match following his retirement and the Tigers were granted a rider replacement facility. It was a fantastic all-round team effort which saw them cling onto the early 10 point lead they opened up in the first three heats.
Vaclav Verner won four of the last six races but just didn't get the back-up he needed to drag the Falcons back into contention.
