C. Gjedde, 24 Sept 2004
The Monarchs missing both David McAllan (sick!) and Ross Brady (injured) put up one of their worst displays of the season providing just five heat winners against the quick starting Tigers. Their major problem was the slick track which made passing extremely difficult and so nearly led to their undoing, but the win was sufficient to put them into prime position at the top of the Premier League.
George Stancl rode to a superb maximum and André started the evening with three straight wins. Kyle claimed his second heat 2 win at Armadale and Paul looked much more in control than on his previous visit. Only Ben failed to score, but taking into account his bruised kidneys from his heat 14 crash at Owlerton the night before I think allowances should be made.
George is rumoured to be the choice of guest for the return match at Owlerton on Thursday. Hopefully Richard Hall will also be able to return to the saddle...
