Maximum man Danny King... The Eagles looked menacing with three heat leaders all averaging over 8 and two of them having a wealth of Owlerton expertise. Danny got us off to a good start by beating Ed Kennett and Drew managed four laps and beat Ben Morley. Josh MacDonald rounded the field from the outside gate in heat 2 and took the lead from Alfie Bowtell on the third bend. Zaine kept up the pressure but Alfie just held him out. Lewis Kerr made no mistake winning heat 3 from hard chasing Josh but Ty was never troubled by Kyle Newman for a shared heat. Heat 4 meant three consecutive rides for Josh. Richard Lawson gated and out-ran Kyle H but Georgie Wood ran out of steam after a brief challenge for third. Ty got a flyer to win heat 5 from Ed and rider replacement Zaine rounded Ben Morley on the first lap to extend the Tigers lead to 6 points.

Danny gated from the inside and led all the way to win heat 6 from Richard. Alfie was third ahead of Drew who seemed to lose ground on the first turns only to make it up on the pits turn. He came from about three bike lengths behind entering turn three on the last lap to just pip Alfie at the flag, but then found slowing riders on the first turn and had to take evasive action resulting in an awkward tumble. After being checked over by the paramedics Drew was able to walk gingerly back to the pits. Once the fence had been repaired Kyle H led from the tapes to win heat 7 from Lewis Kerr while Zaine had a belting scrap passing and being re-passed by Kyle Newman. Josh shed a chain at the start of heat 8 while Drew (on his second bike) powered high and wide to pass both Ben and Alfie out of turn two. Richard led away in heat 9 but Zaine was pushing hard while Ty was well ahead of Georgie in third place. Zaine lost his chain entering turn 3 on the last lap. Danny easily won heat 10 but Drew never recovered from a poor start. Tigers lead by eight points.

Tactical substitute Richard won heat 11 but KyleH hunted down and rounded Ed out of turn two on the third lap. Josh trapped and led heat 12 until hitting the fence exiting turn 4 on the last lap. Despite a puncture and shredded rear tyre he disputed second place with KyleN but to be honest he was lucky to make it to the finish. The big guns were out in heat 13. Danny led the way from Richard and after KyleH passed him Ed retired on the second lap. Lewis won heat 14 ahead of Zaine. Alfie was all over Josh and after a wide blast around the last turn pipped him on the line for the odd point. Danny and KyleH trapped ahead of Richard and Lewis and the Tigers 12 point win leaves us fourth in the league eight league points ahead of the Eagles.
