Jason Crump indicated his intentions as early as heat 4 when he scythed past Freddie Lindgren on the second turn, third lap to claim his first win. Simon Stead wound it all on to swoop around Gary Havelock on the pits bend, second lap to win heat 5 with Sean also passing Gary before his bike expired on the last lap.

Kyle Legault passed Ryan Sullivan exiting turn two and held him out for a well earned point in heat 7. Scott Nicholls trapped well to lead heat 8 but Leigh Adams and Nicki Pedersen had a terrific scrap for second place. Nicki dived past Leigh on the third turn on lap three but Leigh fought back with a carbon copy manoeuvre on the last turn and won the sprint to the flag. Excellent speedway!

Scott Nicholls left it late passing Sean on the first turn of the last lap in heat 9 by which time André had built an unassailable lead. Nicki inflicted Jason's sole defeat in heat 11, and Leigh Adams had his work cut out claiming second place in heat 12.

Jason outpaced Sean winning heat 13, and Nicki kept the pressure on by winning heat 14 with Kyle a good second ahead of Chris Harris and Steve Johnston. Scott won a very close race from Simon Stead in heat 15 after Sebastian Ulamek suffered engine problems while leading, and Leigh Adams claimed his first win in heat 16 with André passing Gary Havelock on the last lap for second place.

Nicki booked his final place winning heat 17 and Freddie Lindgren passed Sean on the second lap for second place. Scott passed Dave Norris around turn three to win heat 18 but Dave stopped while second on the third lap as Chris Harris rounded Gary Havelock. Ryan Sullivan's win in heat 19 was too little, too late while André's second place saw him through to the semi-final. Jason won heat 20 while the rest of the field had a terrific scrap behind him. Kyle Legault set the terraces gasping with a lovely inside line at the end of the second lap which saw him demote Leigh Adams and Simon Stead, and while they both managed to regain their places it was an excellent bit of racing.

Scott Nicholls passed Steady on the third turn to win the semi-final with Leigh Adams joining him in the final after battling through from last place. Jason moved Nicki out of his way on the first turn to lead the final but Nicki claimed second place ahead of Scott Nicholls with a breathtaking wide pass on the final bend.

Many thanks Sean, for an excellent meeting and for all you have given to the sport.
