2008 Coventry programmeThe Tigers borrowed Tai Woffinden from Rye House and Richard Hall from Scunthorpe in an attempt to be more competitive but the result was never in doubt. Oliver Allen took the lead in heat 1 from André and Richard Hall, but Rory Schlein dived into third place at the start of the second lap. Joel Parsons trapped ahead in heat 2 and rode a good line to maintain his lead. Billy Janniro led heat 3 with Tai Woffinden and Ricky Ashworth ahead of the British Champion. Chris picked off Ricky exiting the second turn, rounded Tai on the forth turn and took the lead from his team mate as they crossed the finish line at the end of the first lap! Ben Wilson made a decent start in heat 4 but went far too wide on the second bend allowing the Bees into the lead. Chris and Billy were never troubled making it three 5-1's in a row and extending the Bees lead to 14 points.

Oliver Allen was leading heat 6 when he seized his engine leaving Rory and Joel having a good close tussle. Andreas Messing carved up Ricky on the first turn of heat 7 then slotted in behind Steady. Tai was getting close by the end of the race but Ricky fell on the second lap. Oliver was on his second machine as he sped away to win heat 8 but Richard Hall rounded Stanislaw Burza on the second turn and rode a tidy race to claim second place. Billy led heat 9 with Chris moving inside the as the Tigers pair went too wide on the second turn. Joel passed Ben on the inside out of turn four, and did the same to Chris on the second lap. Chris found the drive to repass him out of turn four but then Joel had the audacity to dive past again on the first turn. Chris went wide and eased ahead down the back straight only for Joel to dive inside on the third turn. Chris just had enough room to squeeze through on the outside and was a wheel ahead as they crossed the finish line. Tai rounded the field out of turn two to lead heat 10 to become the Tigers second heat winner but the Bees now lead by 24 points.

André is on a tactical in heat 11 but Steady is first down the back straight. Richard and André fill the minor placings with Andreas Messing leaving it late to challenge Richard on the last lap. Stan Burza went too wide on the second turn of heat 12 and Joel and Tai both breezed past to share the heat. André retired on the second turn of heat 13 and Ben never looked like catching either Rory or Simon as the Bees took another 5-1. Ricky made his first good start in heat 14 and was dicing with Andreas Messing for the lead until Billy Janniro took a handful of throttle and blasted wide around the pair of them. Billy Janniro and Chris Harris are Peter Oakes nominations for heat 15 while Booey goes for Tai Woffinden and Joel. It's the Tigers pair who take the lead although Chris and Billy are in hot pursuit and both pick off Joel with powerful surges around the outside. Chris catches Tai by the last lap but Tai keeps his head down to claim his second win to the delight of the Sheffield supporters on the second turn.
